Hey guys!

Back to school season is right around the corner so Buzznet asked me a few questions that I wanted to share with you all about MY high school memories!

Was the first day of High School as scary for you as “they” make it seem? 

My first day at high school was also my first day at a public school. It was ten times bigger than what I was used to, and I didn't know a lot of people. It was very scary, but thankfully I made the varsity cheerleading squad and met a ton of people that way! I was also involved in SGA, chorus, and homecoming activities. The more active you are, the more people you meet.

Did you have a favorite class? Least Favorite? 

My favorite class was English, mostly because we got to write poetry a lot. My least favorite was math. I'm just horrible at it.

Any special memories from school Dances/ Prom/ Homecoming etc? Did you attend them? 

Homecoming was always my favorite time during school. I took part in a lot of the planning and I stayed after school to help with the float. I loved "performance" aspect of it all. Each class had a theme and they performed a little dance to go along with it. My freshman class got Ninja Turtles and we all dressed up as them! It was awesome!

What is the best advice you can give about these kids starting freshman year of High School this fall?

Freshman year is both scary and extremely fun. Don't take it all too seriously. Of course, study and make sure your grades are good, but this is the time where you find yourself! Have fun with it! And just know it goes by way too fast. Enjoy every moment, and stay active.

One thing you wish you knew then that you know now?

I really wish I knew who not to date! Looking back on some of the boys I dated makes me cringe!
